ENAIRE diversifies its activities through capital investments in a variety of companies.
ENAIRE owns all the shares of Aena S.A., the first airport operator in the world in number of passengers, with a network of 46 airports and two heliports in Spain.
ENAIRE also has a majority shareholding in Ingeniería y Economía del Transporte, S.A. (Ineco) and in Centro de Referencia Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación ATM (Crida).
- • Ingeniería y Economía del Transporte, S.A. (INECO).
- This is a state company in which Aena has a 45.85% holding, Renfe Operadora has a 12.78% holding and Adif has 41.37%; its mission is to satisfy its shareholders and customers by means of a comprehensive and top quality range of products and services for transport engineering and consultancy. This will provide a continuous response to their changing needs and demands, in a favourable working environment that is constantly evolving.
- • Centro de Referencia Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación ATM (Crida).
- Aena led the creation of the Centro de Referencia de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación ATM (Reference Centre for ATM Research, Development and Innovation, Crida) for air traffic control, in February 2008, under the legal format of an Economic Interest Group, constituted by Aena (66,66%), Ineco (16,67%) and the Polytechnic University of Madrid (16,67%). Its line of business is consulting and engineering projets and work with the possibility of opening in all sectors of economy activity, aminly in the fields of economic and corporate studies industrial engineering, civil engineering and environmental engineering, particularly relating to transport and its infrastructure.
