Irene Sanz Zoydo

Advisory member of the presidency of the State Meteorological Agency –Ministry for the Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge -.

She has a degree in Physical Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master's in Leadership and Public Management from the Menéndez Pelayo International University in collaboration with the National Institute of Public Administration.

A civil servant in the Senior Corps of State Meteorologists, she has worked as an advisory member of the AEMET presidency since October 2021. She has previously held management positions in the State Meteorological Agency since 2008 as AEMET Territorial Delegate in the Canary Islands and Head of the Department for Territorial Delegation Coordination.

From October 2018 to April 2020, she worked as a national expert at the World Meteorological Organization in Geneva, a United Nations agency.
