Carlos Rosón Gasalla

Carlos Rosón Gasalla (Santiago de Compostela, 1955) received a degree in architecture from the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSA) in 1983.

He has been the chair of the Rosón Contemporary Art Foundation since 2007.

He won the 2009 ARCO award for corporate national collectors.

He belongs to the following contemporary art organisations and institutions: member of the CGAC (Contemporary Art Galleries Consortium) board of trustees; member of the 9915 Association of Contemporary Art Private Collectors; member of the Contemporary Art Institute; member of the ENAIRE Foundation board of trustees and member of the ARCO Foundation advisory committee.

He has taught classes in the master’s on Art, Museum Studies and Contemporary Criticism organised by the University of Santiago de Compostela and lectured at the Menéndez Pelayo International University, Santander (2015).

He has curated various exhibitions, is an advisor on contemporary art collections and has engaged in diverse round tables and conferences related to collecting and contemporary art (Arte Santander, Espacio Atlántico, ARCO, Lázaro Galdeano Museum).

He is a member of the visual arts panel of judges.
