ENAIRE and the Club for Excellence in Management organise a meeting on resilience and transformation with CEOs from large companies

ENAIRE, the national air navigation service provider, and the Club for Excellence in Management held a meeting yesterday in Madrid on "Resilience and Transformation in Changing and Uncertain Environments" with CEOs from large companies.

Situations such as the war in Ukraine, COVID and the eruption of the volcano on La Palma force us to reflect on what strategies to follow when faced with exceptional circumstances. ENAIRE's CEO, Angel Luis Arias, explains that strategies for resilience have to be human/operational, technological, organisational and economic-financial.

"The strategies for transforming ENAIRE involve scaling services in response to demand, growing the business through the internationalisation of the company, and the cultural, digital and organisational transformation, with involvement from all our professionals", explains Arias.

ENAIRE is also helping the sector to recover with lower fees, more efficient operations through more direct routes and flexible airspace use, and by strengthening and relying on alliances (STARTICAL, iTEC, A6 Presidency).

ENAIRE's CEO noted that "the EFQM Model of the Club for Excellence in Management has allowed us to strategise and learn about transformation, resulting in excellent, sustainable and innovative management that creates value for stakeholders and prepares for the future by building on the strengths and opportunities for improvement identified to enhance ENAIRE's Strategic Plan, Flight Plan 2025".

ENAIRE EFQM 500 Seal

On 5 October 2021, ENAIRE received the international EFQM 500 Seal awarded by the Club for Excellence in Management.

This three-year seal recognises ENAIRE's provision of air navigation services that are safe, efficient, innovative and sustainable.

The Managing Director and CEO of the Club for Excellence in Management, Ignacio Babé, believes that ENAIRE obtained the EFQM 500 Seal in its first evaluation "thanks to its firm commitment to continuous improvement and excellent, innovative and sustainable management".  "Its commitment to transformation, through its 2025 Flight Plan, a strategic approach geared toward the future, positioning its stakeholders at the heart of its purpose, vision and strategy, as well as the flexibility and capacity demonstrated by the organisation to manage environmental and industry challenges, are some of the keys to its success, and have made it worthy of this Seal", states Babé.
