In this context we would mention Safety Nets and Communications, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS):

Safety Nets: this is a set of mechanisms designed to offer an additional safety barrier that prevents the occurrence of any dangerous situation, including in the event of the simultaneous failure of the other implemented safety systems.
CNS: technologies, systems and equipment involved in the provision of Communications, Navigation and Surveillance services, fundamental elements in safety terms within the air navigation system.
