ENAIRE presents its management applications and a virtual reality simulator at Fitur
At the 2024 Fitur International Tourism Fair, being held from 24 to 28 January at the Ifema fairgrounds in Madrid, ENAIRE, the national air navigation service provider, is presenting its service management application (EYWA) as a tool for digitising information on processes and operations.
In addition, as part of ENAIRE's commitment to training, and relying on virtual reality techniques, it has developed a simulator (GAMMA project) that has been adapted at the Fair to simulate a virtual trip in an air taxi.
The virtual experience consists of taking off from the vertiport at Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport and flying over the area near the control tower, managed by ENAIRE.
All visitors to the ENAIRE stand will be able to experience an interactive representation of this drone trip using three-dimensional (3D) goggles.
ENAIRE is also offering attendees the chance to take part in a contest to advertise its activity, with questions on how to fly a drone legally and safely, with a gift for anyone who passes the quiz.
The photocall selected on this occasion by ENAIRE to give visitors a memento of their stop at its stand features a simulation of the control room in a control tower. Those who publish the photo on social media, mentioning @ENAIRE with the hashtag #fitur2024, will also receive a gift.
Drones, Green Sky and safety
Another key aspect of ENAIRE's stand is the presentation of audiovisual material on different aspects of ENAIRE, which include, in addition to its U-space strategy and its ENAIRE Drones application (https://drones.enaire.es/?locale=es) to plan the operation with drones, its environmental strategy called Green Sky. ENAIRE is committed to environmental sustainability and invests in sustainable air transport by designing more direct and efficient routes.
ENAIRE's commitment to flight safety will also be on display at its stand, where the emphasis will be on its staff and technology. ENAIRE is involved in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), investing 107 million euros, subsidised with NextGeneration EU Funds, aimed at contributing to the development of the Single European Sky.
The ENAIRE Foundation will be present yet again this year with the photograph “Climbing Mount Tai” by José Manuel Ballester, recipient of the ENAIRE Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award.
