ENAIRE operated more than 215,000 flights in July, an increase of 2.9%
All traffic types are increasing, especially domestic traffic
ENAIRE, the company responsible for air traffic control in Spain and the 4th most important in Europe, operated 215,753 flights in July, 2.9% more than in the same period in 2017.
Saturday 28, with 7,343 flights operated, was the busiest day, and, with 280 traffic operations more than the highest figure recorded in July 2017, broke the historical record in Spain for a single day.
All traffic types are on the rise, especially domestic traffic, with 39,355 flights, representing a 6.8% increase. International flights were 133,164 (1.3%) and overflights (which do not depart from or arrive at a Spanish airport), were 43,234, an increase of 4.4%.
That is already 55 months of uninterrupted air traffic growth. Canary Islands (+7.8% and 29,680 flights), Madrid (+3.2% and 108,212), Seville (+2.3% and 39,295), Barcelona (+1.7% and 108,975) and Palma (+0.9% and 47,234).
