ENAIRE managed 181,196 flights across Spain in May, a rise of 6.4%

Spain’s 6.5 % growth in the first five months of the year far exceeded the European average (3.2 %) with 733,400 flights. Of these, 426,657 were international flights, the segment that grew the most, at 7.9 %.

By traffic segment, international flights grew the most, up 7.9% and representing 58% of total traffic in Spain.

In cumulative figures, the number of flights managed rose across all the control centres: Seville (7.9%, 147,036 flights), Palma (7.5 %, 87,490 flights), Madrid (7.2 %, 425,802 flights), Canaries (6.8 %, 134,527 flights) and Barcelona (6.2 %, 318,662 flights).
