As a socially responsible organisation, ENAIRE works with other organisations and third-sector bodies to drive change through initiatives in the following areas:
Our commitment to society
Disability
We work with specialist organisations such as Grupo Social ONCE and Fundación Adecco, running disability awareness and inclusion initiatives for both managers and the rest of the workforce, while also improving internal processes.
We also promote the inclusion of people with disabilities through our grant programmes for employment support. To date, we have awarded EUR 2.1 million in grants to 34 projects run by specialist associations, foundations and federations, helping 1,600 people with disabilities into the labour market, 270 of them in the aeronautical sector.
Education
We work with educational institutions to introduce new generations to the aeronautical sector and air navigation and to attract talent, demonstrating a strong commitment to innovation as a driver of change. We work in partnership with specialist R&D&I partners and promote STEAM vocations through agreements with different universities (UPM, UAM and others) and participation in educational programmes such as 4º ESO+Empresa.
We also offer the Master's in Air Navigation Service Management, a qualification developed by ENAIRE that has become a leading programme in the sector.
Reducing inequalities
In 2023, we strengthened our social commitment by creating the Rincón Solidario Aeronáutico (Aeronautical Solidarity Corner), establishing a stable framework for collaboration with Aviación sin Fronteras, Fundación La Matica, Las Sillas Voladoras, Fundación SEPLA-Ayuda and Hora de Ayudar, the latest organisation to join the initiative. These organisations have a close relationship with the aeronautical sector and carry out important social work, supporting people at risk of social exclusion affected by humanitarian emergencies, providing education and food—mainly for children—in countries such as the Dominican Republic and Equatorial Guinea, enabling people with disabilities to experience flying, and promoting projects to support people living in vulnerable situations or extreme poverty in countries such as Guatemala, Nepal and Peru.
Circular economy with a social purpose
We care for the environment by promoting responsible consumption, while helping those most in need. To this end, we run permanent collection campaigns for plastic bottle caps, the proceeds of which go towards research and treatment for children with rare diseases, as well as campaigns for second-hand clothing and footwear for people at risk of social exclusion. We also organise one-off collections of second-hand toys at Christmas and books on World Book Day.
Equality and diversity
We work with organisations such as Ellas Vuelan Alto, which promotes gender equality and raises the visibility of female talent in the aeronautical sector, and REDI, which champions respect and inclusion in the workplace for everyone, regardless of identity, sex characteristics, gender expression or sexual orientation.
Solidarity in humanitarian emergencies
