ENAIRE is made up of a team of professionals who manage air traffic, maintain the systems and facilities for providing air navigation services, manage the business, and develop solutions to improve the safety and efficiency of air transport.
Air traffic controllers play key roles in three types of Air Traffic Control (ATC) services:
-
Area Control (ACC): From control centers in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Palma de Mallorca, and Gran Canaria, controllers manage flights on airways and in terminal areas.
-
Approach Control (APP): They organize the flow of aircraft during arrival and departure phases, managing holds, approaches, takeoffs, and landings.
-
Aerodrome Control (TWR): They supervise and direct aircraft movements at the airport and its immediate surroundings. This service is provided at 21 control towers, including those at the country’s busiest airports.
Thanks to their specialized training and responsiveness, ENAIRE personnel ensure that every flight operation is carried out with precision and maximum safety.
