ENAIRE is made up of a group of professionals who manage air traffic, maintain the systems and facilities required to provide air navigation services, manage the business, and develop solutions to improve the safety and efficiency of air transport.
Air traffic controllers perform key functions in three types of air traffic control (ATC) services:
Area Control (ACC): From control centers in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Palma de Mallorca, and Gran Canaria, controllers manage flights in airways and terminal areas.
Approach Control (APP): They organize the flow of aircraft during arrival and departure phases, managing holding patterns, approaches, takeoffs, and landings.
Aerodrome Control (TWR): They supervise and direct aircraft movements at the airport and in its immediate surroundings. This service is provided at 21 control towers, including those handling the highest traffic in the country.
Thanks to their specialized training and responsiveness, ENAIRE personnel ensure that every air operation is carried out with precision and the highest level of safety.
