At the International Tourism Trade Fair, Fitur 2026, to be held from 21 to 25 January at the Ifema exhibition centre in Madrid, ENAIRE will showcase programmes, tools – some developed in-house – applications and projects highlighting its essential role as a driver of tourism in Spain.
Under the slogan “Behind every flight, making your destination possible”, the national air navigation service provider will highlight a strategic activity for the economic development and progress of our country. An activity which, with consolidated data as at December, closed the 2025 financial year with a new record in air traffic managed: nearly 2.5 million flights operated (2,470,604, 4.7% more than in 2024), representing an increase of almost 15% compared with 2019.
This year, ENAIRE is presenting EYWA, the real-time supervision platform for the ENAIRE Network, designed to provide comprehensive information for monitoring network status and to support the digital transformation of operational supervision.
EYWA includes all service quality data and factors that may affect Spanish airspace (2.2 million km2), such as airspace availability, airport information and meteorology, as well as the status of infrastructures, technical systems and human resources across ENAIRE’s entire operational network.
In addition, ENAIRE will present at Fitur 26 the latest advances in the development of drone operations and Urban Air Mobility (U-space). ENAIRE will make it easier to disseminate static and dynamic data, enabling the provision of U-space services for drone traffic management, once it is certified as the Single Common Information Service Provider (CISP) in Spain. In line with this role, it will be the sole body in Spain responsible for providing, in a unified digital format, information on geographical areas designated as U-space.
Likewise, the national air navigation service provider plans to initiate the procedures to be certified by the Spanish Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) as a U-space service provider (USSP), which will allow drones to be safely integrated into the airspace. ENAIRE thus reaffirms its commitment to technological innovation to lead the transition towards more automated and sustainable airspace management.
What to do at the stand
At this year’s Fitur, visitors to the ENAIRE stand will have access to a dedicated area for drone activities, where they can operate them safely. ENAIRE is collaborating on this initiative, which aims to raise public awareness that a drone is not a toy and must be operated responsibly within the limits of the applicable regulations.
Another key aspect of ENAIRE's stand is the presentation of audiovisual material on different aspects of its activity, most notably its ENAIRE Drones application ENAIRE Drones, and ENAIRE Planea, ENAIRE Planea, for planning drone operations safely.
The ENAIRE Foundation
Meanwhile, the ENAIRE Foundation will make 3D glasses available, offering immersive experiences of works from the ENAIRE Collection of contemporary art and the collection of historic aeronautical scale models, as well as the ENAIRE Foundation's exhibitions.
The ENAIRE Foundation is the only foundation in Spain that combines the two seemingly disparate themes of art and aeronautical culture, bringing them together by undertaking a programme of activities that promote the study, research, knowledge and dissemination of aeronautical culture, integrating history and modernity to raise awareness of the world of aviation in our country.
The ENAIRE Foundation, with 30 years of history, is rolling out new digital museum resources to promote the democratisation of art. These museum resources are now available on the Foundation's website.
Pavilion 10
Visitors to Pavilion 10 at IFEMA will find the joint stand of the group of companies under the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, which is attending Fitur 26 under the slogan “Connections that matter”. Alongside the Ministry’s central stand, ENAIRE, Aena, Adif, Renfe, Ports of the State and the National Geographic Information Centre share the exhibition space.
The joint stand will feature a screen that answers visitors’ general questions about the activities of the different companies within the Ministry.
As in previous editions, the stand is sustainable and has been conceived as a dynamic, open and vibrant space, designed to inspire and to showcase everything that brings us together through major transport infrastructure across all modes of transport.
