- Organised by the Royal Aero Club of Spain, the event brings together pilots, enthusiasts, schools and associations, introduces aviation to the general public and encourages new vocations
- The Spanish air navigation service provider is also offering informative talks on its flight planning and flight plan processing applications
ENAIRE, the Spanish air navigation service provider, is once again taking part in RACE FEST, whose latest edition opened yesterday at Madrid-Cuatro Vientos Airport. With free admission, the event is designed to introduce aviation to the general public, inspire new vocations and provide a meeting point for pilots, enthusiasts, schools, associations and families.
For this year’s edition, ENAIRE has organised a series of talks, delivered by volunteer staff, to showcase the activities, services and products it offers for general and sport aviation customers.
Through these informative sessions, visitors will be able to learn more about the VFR Guide for visual flight, the new features of ICARO for flight plan management, the coordination of sport aviation activities, airspace classification, the Insignia app for visual flight charts, Flash NOTAM for official notices, the Customer Portal, and airspace and flight procedure design.
Interactive workshops and displays
In addition to the talks organised by RACE FEST and those held at the various stands, the event will feature interactive workshops, immersive flight simulator experiences, virtual formation flight displays and learning spaces for young people and families.
There will also be live podcast recordings, dedicated meeting areas for schools and associations, and a large exhibition area showcasing historic and modern aircraft—from the iconic SAETA, marking its 70th anniversary, to a replica of the Cierva C.4 and several models from manufacturers such as Cirrus, Tecnam and Bristell.
One of this year’s highlights is the presence of the 43 Group of the Spanish Air and Space Force, whose members will share experiences, anecdotes and technical details with the public over the two-day event.
